Return to Sin City

Several months after my last trip I decided to go back to Las Vegas. This trip was similar to my last one, but the weather was much better. Spring and Fall are probably the best times to go to Vegas. The weather is not too cold at night and is not scorching hot during the day.

For this trip I again stayed at the Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. The view this time around was slightly worse. My room did not have a Strip view this time around, but instead was facing the Monte Carlo pool and Aria.

Like last time these pictures were captured with my HTC EVO 3D phone. The quality is still lacking, but my photo skills are slightly better than last time.

On this trip I re-visited many of the same places as last time, but also tried to explore some of the spots I missed. The Strip is massive and even in a week it's impossible to visit the inside of all the casinos and shops, while leaving time for shows and a little gambling.

I started by jumping straight to the areas north of the Monte Carlo. Here I visited the Mirage and The Forum Shoppes which are connected to Caesars Palace. The interior of the Forum Shoppes has shops and restaurants and breathtaking Roman-inspired sculptures and architecture. I also visited the inside of The Palazzo, Treasure Island and the canals at The Venetian.

I also took another trip to Fremont Street and did some gambling at the casino's there. Back near my home away from home at the Monte Carlo, I enjoyed two Cirque du Soleil shows, Zarkana at the Aria and 'O' at the Bellagio. Both shows were good, but 'O' is definitely a must-see. If you can only see one Cirque du Soleil show it should be 'O'.

Back at the Bellagio I also re-visited the conservatory which has a different theme than my last visit. The Chinese theme was replaced with a more nature-oriented display with plants, trees and a water wheel.

I also went further north and visited the now-closed Riviera, the Wynn, Encore and the Mirage Volcano.

Also near the Monte Carlo, I went back to some of the closer resorts including The Aria, The Cosmopolitan, The Luxor and New York New York. I also took a walk to the Las Vegas sign, but decided not to wait in line for a closer photo as there was a rather large crowd.

Ths would be my second trip to Vegas, but not my last.
